LyondellBasell Mansfield Plant employees and their families helped load, transport, stock shelves with supplies and prepare shopping bags for those in the community at the Wesley Mission Center. Global Care Day encourages company employees around the world to collectively participate in community service projects on the same day.
“The Wesley Mission Center always appreciates partnering with companies that truly care about the wellness of families living in poverty,” said Wesley Mission Center Program Director Teresa Washington. “When companies like LyondellBasell conduct food and hygiene drives it allows the Center to put more funding into things like homelessness prevention. We thank the employees and their families that are working together for the greater good.”
For the company's 15th annual Global Care Day, volunteers in 20 countries on six continents demonstrated their commitment to their neighborhoods on Saturday, May 17.
“It’s very simple, we try to give back to our community and those in need and less fortunate,” said LyondellBasell Mansfield Human Resources Assistant Rebecca Kennedy. “This center is there to provide families in crisis with the assistance they need. We can share with others that are not as fortunate.”
Over the past 15 years, approximately 25,900 LyondellBasell employees and their families have donated more than 162,800 volunteer hours supporting their communities on Global Care Day.
