Over the past five decades, polyolefin based products for hot water pipe applications have been steadily replacing traditional materials such as copper. It all began more than 40 years ago with Lupolen HDPE used in cross-linked pipe (PE-X). Meanwhile, the product portfolio is complemented by PE-RT, PP-R and PB-1 resins offering superior properties. Customers especially appreciate the high resistance to temperature and pressure swings, durability, flexibility, corrosion resistance, easy installation and low noise transmission. Nowadays, the application range includes floor heating, radiator connections, ceiling cooling, plumbing, district heating, snow and ice melting systems, as well as geothermal pipes.
