LyondellBasell’s Hifax and Adflex resins, based on our proprietary Catalloy process, are selected for geomembranes due to their outstanding properties and performance attributes. Hifax and Adflex resins feature a unique combination of mechanical toughness, flexibility, barrier properties, and environmental resistance.
Due to the absence of plasticisers, Hifax and Adflex resins can exhibit a higher level of durability compared to conventional thermoplastics. Other characteristics include excellent puncture and tear resistance, low temperature flexibility, high dimension stability, root resistance, a wide welding window and UV resistance when properly stabilized.
